We think the best way to see Vietnam is from the saddle, and this trip proves it. Over fifteen days you'll pedal past emerald rice paddies, towering limestone karsts and fishing villages that most travellers never reach, all while your expert local leader takes care of the details. It's an active, immersive journey for travellers who want a genuine taste of Vietnamese life rather than a view from a bus window.
The Highlights
Your route takes you from the karst-studded valleys around Ninh Binh and Tam Coc, along one of Vietnam's most beautiful coastal highways into Nha Trang, and through the mountain town of Mai Chau, where you'll spend a night in a stilt-house homestay with a home-cooked meal and, if you're keen, a taste of local rice wine. You'll swap the bike for a boat for a day of island-hopping and snorkelling near Nha Trang, and your local leaders will guide you through the highlights of Hue, Hanoi and Hoi An along the way.
A Snapshot of Your Days
Days 1–2, Hanoi: settle in, meet your group, and take a guided bike ride through the city's backstreets.
Day 3, Mai Chau: your first full cycling day, finishing at a homestay in the village of Poom Coong.

Day 6, Hue: explore the Imperial Citadel and royal tombs of Vietnam's former capital.
Day 7–8, Hoi An: a scenic ride over the Hai Van Pass, followed by free time in this UNESCO-listed lantern town.
Days 9–10, Quy Nhon & Nha Trang: coastal riding, including a spectacular clifftop stretch into Nha Trang.

Days 12–13, Dalat & Phan Thiet: climb into the cool Central Highlands before descending to the coast.
Day 14, Ho Chi Minh City: a final beachside ride before arriving in the city to farewell your group.
Day 15: trip ends after breakfast.
