The Scenic Drive: Seattle to Vancouver via Whidbey Island

After two fun-filled days, Lydia's brother arrived from Vancouver to join the journey. Together, they drove from Seattle to Vancouver via the scenic Whidbey Island, an inspired route featuring ferry crossings, charming towns, and incredible coastal views.

"It was the most beautiful and relaxed way to cross borders," Lydia shares. "Stopping on Whidbey added such a memorable twist to the trip."

Vancouver: Culture, Nature & Style

Vancouver welcomed them with its signature blend of cosmopolitan flair and natural beauty. Their adventures included:

  • Granville Island: A foodie's paradise with artisan markets, waterfront eateries, and a vibrant arts scene.
  • Victoria Day Trip: A full-day excursion to BC's capital, featuring the world-famous Butchart Gardens and the newly opened Malahat Skywalk – a spiralling walkway with views that are nothing short of magical.
  • Horseshoe Bay: A peaceful harbour village perfect for a relaxed afternoon.
  • Grouse Mountain: Towering above the city, Grouse offered sweeping views, alpine activities, and a breath of fresh mountain air.
