Embark on a journey of a lifetime on this 10-day travel tour along the Kimberley Coast of Western Australia. Your adventure begins in Broome, where you will board your luxury explorer ship and meet your Expedition Team and APT Cruise Director at a welcome briefing before dinner. You will set off to explore the stunning Lacepede Islands, known for their important breeding habitat for Green Turtles and as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International. You will then venture into the Buccaneer Archipelago, with over 800 islands filled with breathtaking scenery and wildlife.

The highlight of your third day will be a visit to Talbot Bay, where you will witness the unique natural phenomenon of Horizontal Falls, subject to tidal conditions. Accompanied by your Expedition Team Leader, you will explore Talbot Bay and Cyclone Creek, taking in the dramatic folds of rock formations and local wildlife. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also opt for a thrilling ride through the falls aboard a high-powered fast boat. The tour will then take you to Freshwater Cove to visit an ancient Wandjina rock art site and Montgomery Reef by Zodiac, where you can witness the reef 'rising' out of the ocean as tidal waters cascade into surrounding channels.

As you continue to cruise north along the Kimberley Coast, you will explore the Hunter River, and Naturalist Island, Prince Frederick Harbour, home to towering red cliffs, tangled mangroves, and an abundance of wildlife, including mudskippers and saltwater crocodiles. You will also have the opportunity to take a thrilling helicopter flight to see Mitchell Falls in all its splendour from above. Other tour highlights include exploring Bigge Island and Swift Bay, where you can see extraordinary examples of Wandjina and Gwion Gwion rock art, and visiting Vansittart Bay and Jar Island, where you will see more examples of Gwion Gwion paintings dating back more than 20,000 years. Visit Koolama Bay and King George River/Falls, where you will witness the epic cascade of water plunging 80 meters over a soaring sandstone cliff. As your journey ends, spend your last day onboard Le Laperouse or Le Jacques Ship enjoying the onboard pool, wellness area, or underwater observation area for a stunning window into marine life below the ocean’s surface.
