Newman & The Great Aussie Outback

On a campervan tour of the great Aussie outback, our travellers have arrived in Newman in time for a mine tour.

To get there, this intrepid couple firstly drove 188km of dirt road which was dusty but smooth the whole way. Once on the highway, road trains ruled, they must have outnumbered other smaller vehicles 3 or 4 to one. They travel at 100kph so no problems being held up by them.

A guy with camels walking the other way did not say much other than he had 7,500km to go out of a planned 11,000km trip – surely madness!

The following week, our travellers will be camping for five days in and around Kirajini National park.  We’ll be looking forward to more updates and photos soon!
